Today the boys are 21 weeks and can do so much! They have their version of a crawl (which is a scoot-twirl), they are talking (which is not in English, but they surely understand each other), they are rolling over, trying to sit up on their own and trying to hold their bottles! And most dreadful of them all, TEETHING :(
As me and my husband sit and watch them do these things, they often do not want our help. They would rather do it themselves and when trying to sit up, 9/10 are not very successful and there they go tumbling over! I received a blessing and a lesson from this...
1 Corinthians 10:12 NLT, "If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall." When I read this scripture and think of when the boys don't take our help when they are trying to sit up and eventually tumble over, I find that I do this most often with God. I'm always trying to "plan ahead" and do things on my own instead of consulting with God first and when I do this I find myself being so "independent" and not careful that there I go...TIMBER! What I hope that you take from this is that it's ok for us to humble ourselves and know that we can't always stand alone. Be careful to not allow your ego and "independence" to get in the way because if you're not too careful, YOU WILL FALL!
